A Dream I Had Which Took My Mind Off Of Everything, At Least For A While.
It was a Saturday, I was with my aunt, the details as to why are sketchy but somehow someone has died. My aunts grief was unbearable, but then she disappears and its as if I’m in the same place but outside of what everyone else sees. There’s a knock on the door, I answer it to two strangers but I immediately know one of them is the dead person, though a much younger version. However, it’s the woman with him that so captivates me, her only words to me “I want to kiss you under the mistletoe” the mistletoe was off to the right hanging under the stairs, I ask the spirit to put the catch on the door or prop it open, then she repeats herself as she moves over to the mistletoe, “I want to kiss you under the mistletoe” and so I move across to her. I don’t know this woman at all but I kiss her none the less, a kiss so filled with desire that I forget everything except the softness of her lips, the warmth of her body the curve of her waist in my hands. Then suddenly I’m at a table, she’s there just around the table from me, a single, empty chair between us. Something is said and we both stand and move towards one another, both trying to sit in the empty chair, I end up sat down with her in my lap. She moves her face closer to mine and kisses me again, a smouldering, passion filled kiss. This lasts for what seems like hours before she stands and takes my hand, this can only mean one thing, we walk towards a door that can only be a bedroom and she opens the door…
